...whirlwind...part 2

The beach was wonderful! We stayed in Pine Neck near Sag Harbor, in the same house as last summer when we had returned for Matthew and Kerry's wedding. We just had a great time being together, relaxing, going to the bay or the ocean, playing in the sand, learning how to play "Settlers of Catan" from Matthew and Kerry, visiting the Children's Museum, walking through town, and eating very well together. It was a much needed vacation! Thank you Mom and Dad for treating us!!!

Upon returning from the beach, Michael and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary! During the day, we took Noah and Ethan to Fort C.F. Smith, the home and grounds where we had our rehearsal dinner. We had a little picnic under a tent that was set up there already for a wedding that evening. We also took them to Cherrydale Methodist Church where the ceremony was, but couldn't get in, so we just let Noah play on the playground there instead. That evening, Mom and Dad watched the boys, allowing us to go out to our favorite restaurant, Carlyle Grand in Shirlington. Then we enjoyed dessert in Old Town Alexandria as we walked around, remembering how Michael proposed there on the waterfront with guitar in hand....ahhh, sweet memories.

Welcome to the Club... the "Catan Club", that is! Happy Anniversary! We just celebrated ours yesterday by watching the video with Evie. Dave and I loved watching you two sing, and Evie said "I like that girl's singing best of all." So, Laura, my daughter is a fan! ;) Love you guys. We'll have to come and see you in C-ville sometime this next year!
