It has been a while...we'll try to give a brief update. We were warmly welcomed home by Michael's Dad and Annmarie almost three weeks ago now. We had a lovely time celebrating the 4th of July with Annmarie and her parents that first weekend. Since then we have been able to relax some (with the help of dear family around us), get reacquainted with the States (staying with Michael's parents in Arlington), and allow Michael to go to work finding a job (which he's still working on). We're getting new glasses for Noah (stronger prescription) and just yesterday we received good news about my Mom. My parents came up from North Carolina to visit us this weekend and to see a doctor here at Georgetown. She has been feeling much better over the past week and the doctor told her that he did not recommend surgery for her right now. We are so grateful!!! Thank you for those of you who have been praying for all of these things over the last few weeks. We are, of course, eager to discover where we will be living with Michael's job, but are at peace knowing that our Savior already knows and that we can trust him to reveal that to us in his perfect timing. Meanwhile, we are enjoying time spent with family and looking forward to a little vacation. Tomorrow we leave for New York City to spend some time with Matthew and Kerry for a few days in Brooklyn before joining Michael's parents at the beach on Long Island for the following week.
With so much going on, we've been trying to process our whole transition, but it has been challenging. Pray for time to do that well.
